Hi, I'm Cole.

I'm a college counselor, college essay coach, test prep guru, and an experienced teacher and tutor. After earning a degree in English and Creative Writing from Columbia University, I taught high school English — and each year, I focused more and more on college readiness and college applications. By my tenth year in the classroom, I knew it was time to transition fully to college prep.

I've spent more than 15 years studying and teaching the college essay, the ACT, and the SAT, and I've interviewed hundreds of admissions officers along the way. That combination — the writer's ear, the teacher's patience, and the insider's perspective — is what I bring to every student I work with.

Outside of work, I spend my time air frying (a genuine hobby), reading about college trends, board gaming, and parenting my eight-year-old twins. I'm also an avid reader and writer, and I'm slowly but surely working my way toward finishing my second novel.
